After reading the bulk of the comments here, let me get this straight:

A de@d man can have the last word in a book, but survivors can't contradict the de@d man's version?

That's some democratic republic you people believe in.

Our democracy depends on historical accuracy.

I'll give $1000 to the first person who can correctly state what Carter's healthcare plan was and what Kennedy's was.

Incidentally, neither was any great shakes.  Neither were about expanding Medicare to cover all Americans.  Both were about privatizing healthcare, expanding insurance company's control and deregulating medical care.
