If Obama were legitimate, if he wasn't a corporate t00I, he would fire Ken Salazar, an industry hack who had the audacity to say that we shouldn't end Exxon‘s subsidies in a year that Exxon was making $40 billion.

Obama & Salazar didn‘t do anything to change the problems that both knew about when they came into office. When they came into office, they already knew that the agency had experienced a s3x & drug scandal. They knew they agency had such a close relationship with Big Oil that the agency was holding golf & ski junkets paid for by Big Oil in exotic places around the world. They knew the agency, put together by Reagan's Secretary of the Interior James Watt in 1982, was dysfunctional. Nothing has changed since Watt created it, saying, "I‘m going to form this agency with my buddies from Wyoming."

Salazar helped open up the Gulf for drilling, including the lease bloc that BP drilled, WHEN HE WAS A SENATOR. He's always been for drilling and Obama & Salazar went full speed ahead as soon as they got in office and then they pushed for more offshore drilling.

Do you know that Ken Salazar was a US Senator prior to becoming Obama's Secretary of the Interior? Do you know what his record was as senator?

There's a role for people and then there's a role for government. For designing SMART communities and not suburban sprawl that requires people to have cars and drive great distances to their jobs and shopping.

Obama and DLC Democrats have done NOTHING to promote SMART communities. Obama's and Democrats' energy legislation depends on dirty energy.

Republicans are worthless, we all agree, but the Democrats (controlled by the DLC) are cut from the same cloth.

Gulf Oil Spill: Containment Cap Could Stop Leak Within 3 Days

Classic 'kick-the-can-down-the-road'.

Every few days, there's a new press release, that "BP might ..." or "BP could ..." which has the effect of dissipating the frustration and anger of We The People.

In the meantime, in spite of Obama's and BP's assurances, access by the media is still being blocked, the amount of resources being used is nowhere near the number that Obama claims, international help is still being rejected, and BP isn't paying up.

There never was a moratorium on shallow water drilling, in spite of the fact that Ixtoc and Montara were in shallow water.

Two days ago, Obama said that if the moratorium was lifted, he would issue a new one. Now that a 3-judge panel (all with personal investments in the oil industry) has refused to issue a stay (and won't hear this until the end of August????), where's the new moratorium, Obama?

The massive stimulus that should have happened before Obama handed out TARP2 (with no conditions, yet), for public projects rebuilding America's infrastructure on all fronts. From roads, bridges, high-speed rail, an energy renaissance ala the Manhattan project (another broken promise by Obama) and a building of that new energy grid (& communications) infrastructure across the US, along with massive infusion into SMART communities (residential/business/agricultural) ending suburban sprawl, high tech and more.

Obama, Mr. Personality, came into office with more good will, more wind at his back, more political capital than ANY previous president. More people voted for Obama than any previous president.

And what did he do with that political capital?

He sat on it.

Obama has been absent on every issue. He went AWOL on healthcare reform, saying, "Oh, that's Congress's job", all the while he was undercutting the congressional committees writing legislation, cutting secret deals with phRma, the AMA and hospitals. At the end, he emerged and kamikaze-style, rahmed through a massive corporate giveaway with no cost controls, a bill guaranteed to end all public healthcare sooner rather than later.

Obama could have delivered on his promises, but Obama doesn't want to.
