"How did you get in the Pundit's box with that politically incorrect statement about a child!"

==============================================================

I dunno; perhaps HP's moderat0rs are also experiencing 'compassion fatigue' and have been waiting for someone to step up and complain?  ;-)

FWIW, I have no control over which, if any, of my comments get into the pundit's box, nor do I know how I (or anyone) becomes a pundit.

If leftwing broadcasters are advocating the k!lling of Republicans (or anyone), I'm against it.

You obviously don't follow my writing or else you would know that I've denounced just about all of those you mention and I do it regularly, with the exception of Monteil Williams (he's not even anywhere on my radar as having expertise or influence on politics).

I've looked up some of the comments you claim these people have made (and FWIW, the only person on your list who might be considered leftwing is Monteil Williams), and I wouldn't put their comments in the same category as rightwingers at all.  I don't think that any reasonable person would agree with your characterization that  Chris Matthews was "fantasizing about the de@th of Rush" - Here's the clip.

Nor would I agree that Ed Schultz's comments about Cheney are equivalent.

You've conveniently ignored my comments about the origins for h8-speech, with people on the right like Joe Pyne and Morton Downey, Jr.  Are you unfamiliar with them?  Before Sarah Palin's particular brand of vicious sarcastic bile was Maureen Reagan -- Perhaps you don't recall her radio show, but there was nobody on the left talking like that, with one exception, and he wasn't a broadcaster (Gore Vidal).

Where it began is important to this discussion.  Democrats took the high ground for many years and for many reasons.  It wasn't in Democrats' nature to engage that way, and when the DLC took over the Democratic Party, it wasn't in the DLC's interest to do it.

If anybody ever needed evidence that the DLC is made up of DINOs, maps with bulleyes is it.

Is the FCC now going to bring back the Fairness Doctrine and regulate hate radio?

And HP, the holiday season is over:  Enough with the cleft palate kids' and abused animals' ads.

I know, heresy, but I think we're all tapped out, if not of money, then certainly of good cheer.  These ads don't bode well for people's moods.

Sometimes I wonder what planet Ar!anna lives on, what with the new 'Divorce Section (How to have friendly divorces)' on HP and the ad space she sells.  In economic times like these, people do not get divorced.   A more realistic and helpful section might have been "How to stay married in hard times".

And when it comes to charitable giving, how much can those who frequent HP afford to donate?

Are you seriously going to defend where Republicans have brought our political discourse with "Democrats do it, too"?  Should Democrats have stood mute?

I'm old enough to recall where and when this all began (Joe Pyne and then later Morton Downey, Jr.) and the steady and escalating decline in discussion and debate after Reagan ended the Fairness Doctrine and corporations bought up the communications' networks and flooded the air waves with conservative h8 radio.  It wasn't the left that got us to this place.

How about being a force for good, ol' AF Retired, and call for the end of it?

Lamar Alexander's response to this tragedy is more of the same that got us here.  More "tax cuts for the rich", more deregulation and privatization, more gvns, and "leave Sarah Palin alone".

The media talking heads, everyone from Chris Matthews to perennial guests like David Frum, echo similar comments, offering "advice for Sarah Palin, to keep her as a viable presidential candidate".

The Giffords Gun Clip: How A 'Weapon Of Mass Destruction' Became 'The Weapon Of Choice'

"BTW, these comments are OT too. You break the rules when it fits your agenda apparently hypocrite."
================================================

Actually, my comments aren't OT but they are not in compliance with HP's comment policy, that's true.  Have you ever read it, by the way?  HP's comment policy?

Watch me bring it into compliance:

You're actually a good object lesson for what's wrong with the country, how we seem to have reached the tipping point, how trying to get the nation back on track may be an exercise in futility because of people like you who think the rules don't apply to them.

You offer up lame excuses, one reason after another, for your boorish and inappropriate-to-the-setting behavior.  Normal, emotionally healthy people don't enter into the public square, disrupt the activity, and then when called on it, refuse to apologize or offer contrition.

By the way, we have laws in society because of people who won't abide by an honor system.  Because of people who lack common sense (or who have emotional issues, mental disease, are ig.no.rant, poorly or educated or resist learning) as to how to respectfully share common resources.  There are laws against spitting in subways because people spit in subways and the spreading of diseases like tuberculosis from spitting in subways.

We have laws against dirt-biking in desert parks because there are too many like you, who think you're special and the damage you do to the desert when dirt-biking isn't destroying the fragile ecosystem there.   But you don't have the common sense (or you're a narcissist) to realize that you're not the only one doing it.  It's the same problem with cars and carbon emissions -- "My driving isn't causing climate change".  But you're not the only one driving.  Nor are you the only one throwing your McDonald's wrappers out of your car window or dumping your dead appliances or sofas on country roads (who do these people think are going to clean up after them?)

The surest way to see the internet get policed is to continue offending others by not respecting the rules set forth by website hosts.  Your outlaw ways ruin it for everyone.

Be the CHANGE you want to see in the world.

The Giffords Gun Clip: How A 'Weapon Of Mass Destruction' Became 'The Weapon Of Choice'

"Know why the site doesn't stop it? Clicks baby, they bring in the dollars and without music nights the click rate would be way lower.

If you knew anything about human behavior you wouldn't make the silly assertions you do. This is an anonymous website not someones living room. Face it, you are the odd one out here regardless of the rules."

=====================================================

I don't doubt that's true, which would then make Ar!anna Huff!ngton a hypocrite or a lousy manager for having a stated policy but not implementing or enforcing it.

But that's her.

We're talking about you and the barnyard animals you were raised by and with for not respecting the rules of the host's 'home' (Ar!anna Huff!ngt0n's website) or even common etiquette for behavior in the public square (the internet).

"You must get very tired with all that jumping to conclusions. Did you research every thread I have ever posted music on?  Then you don't know my experiences do you. Take your ball and go home you are outnumbered. Better yet you can join huffwatch and whine there. It has turned into a community apparently without you."
=====================================================

There's that adolescent narcissism again.

Just like the light goes out but refrigeration continues when you close a refrigerator's door, time and posting (comments on HP's threads) doesn't stop when you log out.  All the evidence that is required for my experience to be accurate and your experience to be inaccurate is the threads themselves...And not just the threads that you post on.

Posting music links is off-topic and against comment policy, PERIOD.  You do it, then another mouth-breathing knuckle-dragger sees you getting away with it, and entire threads get taken over.  You shouldn't be doing it at all.
