Soundbite:Demo is the lesser of 2 evils.
The GOP are more akin to Nazi.
OLd,white,racist,obstructionist.
Sounds amazingly anti american
because thats is really what it is.
Remember Germany lost the war
Dont be a nazi.Vote for Obama.

===================================

We've been doing it your way, putting the lesser of two eviIs into office, for more than 20 years now, and the government and the DemocraticParty has been moving incrementally farther to the right.  That's because your way is to l!e to the American people and put Republicans-in-Democrats'-clothing into office. At the rate this is going, Republicans won't have to bother getting Roe overturned because why bother outlawing abortion when you've made it virtually impossible to obtain one?

Regulating banks and Wall Street won't be necessary because the top 1 percent will have ALL of the money.

The disabled and elderly will be dead, so privatizing Social Security won't be much of an issue.

Schools will be all privatized under Democrats -- You'd better hope you're still employed and making a great salary to pay for good charter schools for your kids.  PBS has had its funding slashed under Democrats so your kids will have no commercial-free children's programming and will be rank-and-file consumer-slaves.

And the wars, expanded under Obama and Democrats (beyond what BushCheney did) will still be going on when your children have children.

If you are a liberal, if you and I are on the same side and want real Democratic policies, and going about getting them your way (protecting Obama, reelecting DLC Democrats) is getting Republican policies, NOT Democratic policies, when do you realize that maybe you don't know what you're talking about?

When do you realize that you've become that classic definition for 'insan!ty' ("Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results")?

Do you ever realize it?

John Boehner: '1 In 3 Chance' Republicans Lose Control Of House

I'm an old, OLD liberal Democrat and the "lesser of two evils"-argument just doesn't work anymore.

How can you say (and expect to be taken seriously) that Republicans are by far worse when Obama's continuing just about all the BushCheney policies, even going BushCo one better:

How do any of Obama's 'most ardent supporters' explain Obama's doctrine that presidents have the right to kill American citizens with no due process, no oversight, NDAA, and his push for 'indefinite preventive detention' and no transparency of anything a president asserts should be his secret?  It's Pure Kafka.

I don't know how any Democrat can get behind this.

And it's Obama who's put SocialSecurity and Medicare and Medicaid on the table.

At this point, I'd argue that Obama-Democrats are worse.  BushCheney make no bones or excuses for what they've done and who they are, whereas Obama-Democrats ran on knowing better.

Consider our elections as a business plan where the 'CorporateMastersOfTheUniverse' have charted out their plans years in advance and then they select the politician with the personality that's best able to achieve those plans in 4 year increments.

If you want to lie the country into war for oil and profiteering, then GeorgeWBush is your man to front it, with DickCheney, the former SecretaryOfDefense who initiated the privatizing of the military a decade earlier, actually running the operation from the shadows.

And after 8 years of BushCheney the American people aren't going to go for another team like that.  They're going to want HOPE and CHANGE, with a persona they can believe in and trust.  BarackObama.

Obama's 'most ardent admirers' just like the packaging better.  I'm not talking skin color, although that may be a factor for some of them; I'm talking about how a 'D' after the name is a brand they trust believe and trust in, despite the fact that it's the same 'soap' (product).

You continue to support Obama-Democrats at the expense of your own best interests. As long as his numbers remain high, he does the bidding of corporations and establishment elites.

Why should Obama-Democrats do anything for you if they know they've got you over a barrel, that you're going to vote for them no matter what, because you're terrified of Republicans?

John Boehner: '1 In 3 Chance' Republicans Lose Control Of House

The only power that you and I have in this democratic republic is the weeks before every election every 2 years. That's when deals are cut. That's when candidates' pledges, about what they will or won't do if they get into power, go on the record. For their 'report card' (the next election) when we either give them an 'A' (reelection) or an 'F' (toss them out). Pass/Fail.

What possible good are Obama's fans doing us now, cheering for his Reagan-Republican record?

They'll take anything, as long as it has a 'D' after it's name. They don't even know that that 'D' is no different than an 'R'. In policies, where it counts. All that either of these 2 corporate parties has to do is put up a candidate with a 'look', a shell' that is attractive, fill the candidate with focus-group-tested rhetoric (tested to appeal to Democratic voters) and they don't know the difference.

John Boehner: '1 In 3 Chance' Republicans Lose Control Of House

The DLC is trying to marginalize the RepublicanParty by forcing the fringe right of the RepublicanParty into the TeaParty, making the TeaParty the face for the Republican Party, leaving the rest nowhere to go but to the DemocraticParty, which the DLC hopes to control and govern "from the center for 100 years". The DemocraticParty, made over into the old RepublicanParty (right-of-center). All corporate, anti-labor, anti-environment, anti-civil/individual rights, pro-war, surveillance society. Anti-choice (anti-abortion), too.

The tragedy of it all is that Obama's 'most ardent supporters' will settle for that, that they believe it's the best they can get, when the fact is that Obama was elected by more people ever in the history of the country to get rid of corporate rule, and restore the democracy to the People. The People were so thoroughly done with Republicans and conservatism after Bush, they voted for a black man in numbers never before seen.

And no sooner was the election over (before actually, with his FISA vote flip-flop in July 2008), did Obama slam the brakes on the momentum of his victory, of HOPE AND CHANGE, and adopt all things BushCheney.

Joe Lieberman Won't Endorse Anyone In Presidential Race

There's not just one way (or even two or three) for Democrats to get bills passed without Republican votes.

But Obama and the DLC-controlled DemocraticParty didn't and aren't doing that. Because it might actually work to get Democratic voters' legislative agenda made into the law of the land and do good for the People.  And that's not what Obama and Company are there for.

Obama and Company are there to do the work of the transnational corporations.  Along with the Republicans, as was clearly evidenced the time that Harry Reid kept the Senate open (pro forma) so that Obama couldn't make recess appointments, collaborating with Republicans to keep progressives and liberals out of government.  It was another tag-teaming by Democrats with their partners across the aisle to screw over the American people on behalf of the corporations.

Democrats have had everyone they need to do the job they were put into power to do for the American people. They don't want to do it.

Joe Lieberman Won't Endorse Anyone In Presidential Race

Excuse me, I'm fatigued.

Lieberman is an independent, so he'd do nothing to change the Democratic majority.  There are 53 in the Democratic Caucus, and with Lieberman out of the caucus there would be 52.  Even if there were 50 Democrats, Biden could always step in to break a tie.

Nothing is coming up requiring that DINOs vote as Democrats.  Ben Nelson, Mary Landrieux, Mark Prior, Jon Tester, Max Baucus (nor any other DINO) aren't going to be voting for anything just because they're Democrats.

Now, with regard to filibusters, Republicans haven't been filibustering; they've been threatening to filibuster.  Senate Rule 22.

When it serves something that the DLC-controlled Democrats want, Harry Reid can (and has) require the GOP to actually filibuster (stand and talk without end).

Harry Reid has had no problem forcing the GOP to actually filibuster when it's something that the DLC wants and perceives it needs. For example, when Democrats needed unemployment benefits to continue because the masses were becoming 'critical', Reid had no problem calling Republican Jim Bunning's bluff to filibuster. Reid said, "Bring in the cots, do it" and Bunning and the GOP caved. Benefits for unemployed workers continued.

Democrats could even have changed the supermajority rule (it does NOT have to be done at the beginning of a new Congress, as some argued). It can be done at any time (see page 6 - http://fpc .state.gov/documents/organization/45448. pdf ].

But Democrats put off their critics for not forcing the Republicans to actually filibuster and changing Senate Rule 22 during the session by assuring fed-up Democratic voters, "We'll change the rule come the beginning of the next Congress".

They didn't.

Shift On Executive Powers Let Obama Bypass Congress

To begin with, Obama didn't enter office with "divided government"; he had a decisive victory, a clear mandate and a filibuster-proof Congress.  Obama chose not to any of it to get through the policies he was elected to install.

Obama hasn't been skittish at all about using executive power from day one to further the Bush-Cheney policies of the unitary executive and erosion of citizens' Constitutional rights and protections.

Susan Sarandon Says White House Denied Security Clearance, Interviews Michael Moore

So much for Obama being "president to all the people".

Do you seriously believe that any Republican is going to vote for Obama because he shunned Susan Sarandon?  Or because he hasn't taken on gun control and the NRA?

Obama has no liberals in his administration, he invites a NASCAR champion (Jimmie Johnson), and evangelical pastors and Catholic bishops to weigh in on women's healthcare issues, but Susan Sarandon is a security risk and barred from visiting the White House?

Susan Sarandon Says White House Denied Security Clearance, Interviews Michael Moore

I am a proponent of a mixed economic policy, with fair markets and regulated capitalism and socialism.

If you're like most McCarthyites, what you fear is exactly what we have currently (plutocracy), fascist corporate governance.  A corporation's goal is to eliminate all competition.  What we're also getting, the bonus that is getting realized, is that it's also going to end its customers.

Both groups were founded by people from many different groups, although NIMN was a bit more top-heavy with communist party founders.

As far as communism not working, you haven't seen communism not working.  What you have seen is the US interfering in the workings of communist countries.   The Corporate Masters are hellbent on making sure that communist countries collapse.

In the US, we've seen communist policies that have been adopted from time to time working brilliantly.  Food and gas rationing/coupon books during WWII, for example.  When a free market would have meant that only the rich would have been able to get meat or sugar or gasoline.  "To each, according to his need".

Susan Sarandon Says White House Denied Security Clearance, Interviews Michael Moore

Once you're on some government list, it's virtually impossible to get off of it.

Do you remember how Ted Kennedy was put on the 'No-Fly'-list (presumably by Karl Rove), and was hassled every time he tried to board a plane?  That's happening to American citizens all over the country, with clean records, whose only 'crime' has been speaking out against government policy.

Hold on there, sparky.

Neither one of those groups is "a communist group", not that that would make any difference with whether Sarandon could get a security clearance to visit the White House.  Communism isn't illegal. Not yet.

People from all different walks of life, all different political affiliations founded those groups, from Greens and Libertarians to old-time conservatives (not neocons) and the Christian left.

Communism has gotten mistakenly conflated with totalitarianism, authoritarian dictatorship, by the Corporate Masters of the Universe, who are the real dictators to fear.  Or haven't you looked around lately to see the 99% circling the drain?
