Secret U.S. Memo Made Legal Case To Kill A Citizen

I will never understand why, folks are upset about a surgical op to remove a high volume AQ recruiter, yet have no issue with tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians killed?

==============================

Oh then never mind.

Who says "folks have no issue with Iraqi civilians killed"?

It's over 100,000; 78 just this past week.  If you don't know that, then perhaps you're saying that it's you who isn't upset about the number of people that are being killed without due process and in our names by our government.

Secret U.S. Memo Made Legal Case To Kill A Citizen

There’s this document called the “Constitution” that lays out the steps the Government is required to take before punishing a citizen for “treason” (“No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court“); suffice to say, it’s not met by the President secretly declaring someone guilty backed up by leaked, anonymous accusations to the press;

Why #OccupyWallStreet Doesn’t Support Obama: His “Nothing to See Here” Stance on Bank Looting

Despite the efforts of some liberal pundits and organizers (and by extension, the Democratic party hackocracy) to lay claim to OccupyWallStreet, the nascent movement is having none of it. Participants are critical of the President’s bank-coddling ways and Obama gave a remarkably bald-face confirmation of their dim views.

Obama was cornered into explaining why his Administration has been soft of bank malfeasance. His defense amounted to “They’re savvy businessmen”: “Banks are in the business of making money, and they find loopholes.”

Is breaking IRS rules a “loophole”? How about making repeated false certifications in SEC filings? Or fabricating documents? Or making wrongful foreclosures, aka stealing houses?

The Administration’s strategy for maintaining this posture is by being anti-investigation and anti-transparency

Dylan Ratigan kicked off the campaign to GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS last week.

Ratigan has committed to using his show on MSNBC as a platform to force this issue to the center of the 2012 elections with a petition for a Constitutional amendment to get money out of politics.

Here is the proposed Constitutional amendment:

"No person, corporation or business entity of any type, domestic or foreign, shall be allowed to contribute money, directly or indirectly, to any candidate for Federal office or to contribute money on behalf of or opposed to any type of campaign for Federal office. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, campaign contributions to candidates for Federal office shall not constitute speech of any kind as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution or any amendment to the U. S. Constitution. Congress shall set forth a federal holiday for the purposes of voting for candidates for Federal office."

George W. Bush Says He Still Supports U.S. Troops

The nation is circling the drain and Bush is hosting a golf tournament?

How is it that Bush can get media coverage on something so frivolous, and go totally unchallenged by reporters?

How about just one reporter asking Bush if he would join with Alan Greenspan: 'I Stand With Allowing Bush Tax Cuts To Expire'?

George W. Bush Says He Still Supports U.S. Troops

Why is George W. Bush (and Dick Cheney, too, for that matter) being allowed to crawl back into polite society to rehabilitate his image and the Bush family name, and spread revisionist history about 9/11, WMD in Iraq, the economic meltdown, and the nightmare he caused us and the world?

Why isn't he having to spend 24/7 with his lawyers, working on a way to stay out of prison?

Oh, that's right, I forgot: Because Obama and the DLC-Democrats have blocked all investigations and prosecutions into Bush-Cheney and Republicans, and have allowed them to resurrect themselves and take back control over government.

And because of Obama's failure to restore the Constitution and return us to the rule of law by holding Bush, Cheney, et al, accountable, JEB Bush was all over the news on election night as the man behind Florida's new Tea Party Senator, Marco Rubio. So expect a Jeb Bush run at the presidency in the not-to-di tant-future. Perhaps with Liz Cheney on the ticket with him.

This is Obama's fault -- The buck stops squarely at his feet.

When Obama came into power, the GOP wasn't on the ropes; it was down for the count because of the devastation that Bush-Cheney had caused the nation. And Obama issued Bush-Cheney and Republicans (essentially) a pardon.  None of them express any remorse or contrition.  As a matter of fact, they're rested and ready for another round of tax cuts for the rich and slicing-and-dicing Social Security, Medicare, and anything else they can get their hands on that would help the People.

Obama News Conference: President Goes On Offense Over GOP Opposition To Jobs Bill

Obama has already caved by putting together this very lukewarm half-hearted bill.  As he said, "They should love this bill", because it's Republicans' own ideas.

I've yet to see people who couldn't answer why they were there, but then again I don't watch Fox or corporate media.

If you think "it's a shame" as you say, why aren't you stepping up and joining one of the many Occupys around the nation and the world?  There are close to 1000 cities with Occupation groups.  Find one near you and lend your 'smart voice'.

Ed Schultz, Dylan Ratigan Have Angry Exchange Over Obama Jobs Bill (VIDEO)

So your (and Obama's) solution was to pass Republican legislation.  It would be like victims of genocide, such as those during WWII, not only voluntarily boarding trains to concentration camps, but driving them, then entering gas showers and dropping the gas pellets on themselves.

ACA is a lousy bill that continues the problem that Obama and Democrats were put into power to end. ACA actually makes the problem worse.  It institutionalizes, for all time, the insurance industry as the gatekeeper to people's being able to get medical treatment with no cost controls.  It funnels even more money away from medical treatment and into the hands BigInsurance, PhRma, Hospitals, etc., making it even harder for the People to fight politically against healthcare corporate interests each succeeding election cycle.

Whatever FDL was or wasn't willing to do isn't of any interest or concern to me.  It's not a matter of "righteousness" over "not selling out"; it's a matter of getting what the People wanted.

This was the fight that Obama and Democrats were put into power to have.  They were tasked to get affordable, quality medical treatment for everyone and they pledged to do it.  It couldn't have come at a more opportune time -- The economic meltdown and the massive number of jobs lost in America.  It was an opportunity for Obama and Democrats to turn the conservatives' privatization and deregulation tide of the last three decades.  A perfect storm had aligned, with our need for alternative clean and sustainable energy, affordable quality medical care for all, education and job training and the creation of millions of new jobs in the US.  It was an opportunity for Obama to combine it all into a New New Deal project, which could have solved all of the problems left to him by BushCheney and usher us into the 21st century as a competitive force to be reckoned with in a world economy.

Instead, Obama and Democrats did a masterful job of preserving the failed system, setting it in concrete actually, convincing the victims that it's really a good thing (and hoping that by the time the People realize that it's not a good thing, Obama and the Democrats who made it happen will have long since retired their offices).

FWIW, I would have loved to see Tom Harkin and Jay Rockefeller not vote for it in reconciliation (meaning they never wouldn't have voted for it).  But let's for argument's sake say they wouldn't have voted for it.  Then you know who and where your problem is, and who you need to target and replace.  The fact is that Obama and the DNC never pressured any recalcitrant Democrats, except to get those working to get a public option to back down.  On them, Obama used brass knuckles.  That, and the corporate-friendly legislation itself, should tell you what a fraud Obama is as a 'Democrat'.
