David Leonhardt: Health Care Reform Complaints Expose Problems With Status Quo

Everyone will have access to health insurance.
===================================

Actually, that's not true.

It's also not what Obama and Democrats were put into power to do.  They were put into power to get affordable quality medical treatment for all.  Having insurance does not mean that you're able to get affordable quality medical treatment.

This was a great big gift to Big Insurance and PhRma.

The Jewish Problem With Obama: Part One of Five

What do you want, a long report?
===========================

Not necessarily, but if that's what it takes for you to articulate just what they "despise" him for, then take all of time and space you need.  We can't get to living together in peace, not one-on-one or between nations, until we understand what's preventing it.

Words like "despise" are highly emotion-charged, and there isn't one side to issues like unemployment, the deficit and Israel, so when you toss those issues out as the reason for their "massive unhappiness", it still doesn't give me any clearer understanding of what their beef is about with Obama.

I know what my problem is with Obama, and I would have thought that those you work with (attorneys) would have that same problem.  Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but I don't think I can get that information from you.

Firefighters Watch As Home Burns: Gene Cranick's House Destroyed In Tennessee Over $75 Fee (VIDEO)

The problem with your logic  is that this guy's house became the fuelant that threatened other houses.  What if the neighbor hadn't paid, and the neighbor's house went up in flames?  Now you have two houses that are threatening to engulf the neighborhood, becoming larger and more unmanageable.   So even those people who had paid, there are just so many personnel and equipment to put out a fire that has grown exponentially, and conceivably out of control.

That's what separates liberals' view of government and conservatives' view.  Services like firefighting, police, 911, etc., are for the Common Good, and should be non-profit.
