Elizabeth Warren Didn't Want Permanent Appointment To CFPB: Frank

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Elizabeth Warren didn't have to take the position for 5 years.

She didn't have to go through confirmation either.  Once nominated, she could have begun working immediately.  Her actual nomination before the US Senate could have been put off indefinitely.

If Obama names her to be an assistant to him, she will have no authority over Timothy Geithner (who is the actual person setting up the agency).

I think it's a farce, and at this point just one more stunt (and a typical one) by Obama to try to head off liberals' opposition to his cozy relationship with big business that continues the grand heist on the middle class.
