House Candidates To Spend Over $1 Billion On Elections

Filibuster-proof Senate. 60. In the Democratic Caucus. They could all be Independents, but if there are 60 of them caucusing in the Democratic Caucus, it's a lock.



'Party government' runs the US Congress, has since the late 1790s, and the Democratic Party has controlled both Houses of Congress (with a supermajority in the Senate) and the White House since 2008.



If you do not get behind what the leader of your political party tells you to do, you're going to find your life really cold and lonely for the duration of your term in office. And come reelection time, you will NOT have the party organization behind you either at a state or national level -- That is certain de@th for your time in office, not to mention your overall career in politics.



There are all kinds of other 'carrots and sticks' you use to keep your party (& those caucusing with you) together, and if Obama really wanted to, it would have happened. There is nothing that Democrats in Congress are doing that Obama hasn't signed off on, much less ordered.
