Again, as I keep repeating here, precision in language is vital to a well-informed citizenry.



What's being observed (on Jupiter) is a climate cycle where "spots" merge and disappear and reappear, and scientists' analyses are, as yet, unproven. One scientist is making predictions based on his computer models - He's never actually seen Jupiter through a telescope.



If you believe what he's saying, then you have to believe, too, the prediction that Jupiter will "cool down" again in 2014.

There are naturally occurring climate changing cycles, but their causes are separate from what we're experiencing here on earth now. They're also nothing that we can do anything about, i.e., solar irradiation. What we are doing is making the problem of this naturally occuring cycle worse, for us and all life on the planet. The planet will survive. The same can't be said for the human species and other species alive on the planet now.
