Let's look at the 26-year-old on his parents' insurance. That's as long as his parents have jobs (or are independently wealthy). It's only as long as his parents are able to afford to pay for their own insurance, then on top of that, their adult children's insurance. And then, G0d forbid, the actual cost of medical treatment should the adult child get sick and need medical care.
Aside from being an interesting small special interest group that this provision in the legislation applies to , it doesn't address the actual problems:
Where are the jobs for these 'up-to-26-years-old's, that keep them living in their parents' home? It doesn't keep premiums costs down. Nor does it make medical treatment affordable. Have you forgotten that beyond the costs of the premium, there's deductibles and co-pays?
