Yes, so why heap further pain on the poor and middle classes?  It does nothing about the real problem, it lets the richest and the real thieves who caused our woes keep the treasure.

You must know that (if past history is any predictor of the future) an ultimate budget with $31 billion in cuts is going to be the bare minimum slashed from services for the people who can least afford it.
