Obama lifted the drilling moratorium last week before the fallout from this report could prevent it.



BP is still in operation, drilling deeper and in more risky, dangerous sensitive waters than ever before. Not one criminal indictment after 11 people were k!lled in an explosion that may have triggered an extinction level event.

Obama & the DLC-controlled Democrats have learned the lessons of the Bush administration very well: If you want something badly enough, just keep at it until you wear opponents down.



Like all scandals in the US these days, once the spotlight is off, without strong advocates (and a president with integrity) everything goes back to business as usual. The spotlight doesn't even have to be turned off; it can be dimmed. Or other controversies can appear with their own spotlights, to share the stage.
