Superdelegates' Clout CURBED? Democrats Propose Less Influence For VIP Delegates

Sunday, July 11, 2010

So Obama reaches out for Republicans, watering down the legislation that they won't vote for. Because everything that the parties do, both parties, is for the next election campaign. It's all about putting off, not getting anything done, making everything an election issue.

The second point is that Democrats could even change the supermajority rule. Right now. Get everything and everything passed through simple majority, like it used to be.

All 200+ bills that the House has passed in the past 18 months, that sit waiting for Harry Reid to put them on the floor for a vote. But he doesn't because not only don't the Democrats in the Senate want what's in the House's legislation, the House Democrats don't want what they voted for. They only voted for these bills because they needed the cover of their yes-votes back home, with their liberal constituents, but they knew that the Senate Democrats would never pass these bills, so their campaign war chests would continue to get corporation donations.

It's a s!ck & dysfunctional cycle they have going.
