Harry Reid Open To Gun Control Debate After Sandy Hook Shooting

I'm for gun control as much as the next pro-gun control person, but it's not clear that restrictions would have prevented this tragedy from occurring.

This gives a good insight and explanation for what happened and what we probably should be focusing on to prevent any more of these massacres from happening again.  We've let the tax-cutters destroy our mental healthcare services and we now use the prisons as babysitters.  We don't know what causes an Adam Lanza, nor do we know how to treat him, but unless and until the government starts putting money into research, we're all sitting ducks waiting for another one to pop off.
