Peter Scher, John Edwards' Former Adviser, Says Then-Candidate Dismissed Warning About Affair

Let's see if I have this straight.

Edwards is claiming that the money used to support Hunter was from the campaign (and not his personal money) because he was trying to hide the affair from his wife, not from the public.  

By this logic, Edwards only ran for president in order to hide the affair from his wife.
