Government Surveillance Requests Up In 2011, Report Says

Friday, May 4, 2012

Obama voted against it before he voted for it.

Activists had to work to get Obama and Hillary off the campaign trail and back to Washington for the vote before the actual vote on that bill.  He voted the way the left wanted and later turned around and did a flip-flop and voted for it.  Right after spewing his condemnation of it.  Right after he'd gotten enough of the left's votes in the primary season.

It's really impossible to believe anything that comes out of Obama's mouth, just as it's impossible to take anything that Romney says seriously.  They're politicians; they said whatever is expedient, what they perceive to be necessary to say at the moment.  The proof is in their actions.

Obama campaigned on not supporting the Iraq war, but I have no doubt that had he been in the Senate for the Iraq war vote, he would have given Bush the AUMF.  Obama's presidency has been a big stall, kicking the can down the road on leaving both Afghanistan and Iraq.  He's bought into the Cheney "Long War", expanding hostilities into sovereign nations and indiscriminately killing civilians.  Let's not forget that Obama requested Joe 'Chicken Warhawk' Lieberman as his mentor when he entered the Senate.

In February 2008, Obama expressed his admiration for Reagan, who “brought stability” to the country after those years of unrest.  Think about that.  The years that ensured equality and civil rights when people stood up to the insanity of our involvement in Vietnam.

Obama would have to make a hard left turn to qualify as a moderate Republican of the 20th century.
