Sarah Palin's Safari Club Speech: 'We Eat Organic -- We Just Have To Shoot It First'

No!  Not true at all.

When we talk about organic food, we're talking about food that has been certified as having been produced without synthetic chemicals, e.g. fertilizer­, pesticides­, additives, antibiotic­s, GMOs, sewage/slu­dge, irradiatio­n, etc.  

And depending on the country (and even the states within the US), the land which produces the food has to be free of all such substances for specific number of years (some states it's 3 years, and others it's as many as 7, or was the last time I looked).
