Words Have Consequences

Sunday, January 9, 2011

Nice to finally see the ability to comment back on a Gary Hart thread.  I've thought him immensely cowardly for his autocratic position here, of speaking but not allowing feedback.

Votes have consequences; yours when you were in the US Senate and the people who put you and the others in power who are responsible for the miserable condition of our nation.

Another crazy man got a gun capable of k!lling a great number of people in a short period of time and did it.

Another Virginia Tech massacre.

Another Columbine.

Another Alabama

Another John Allen Muhammad & Lee Boyd Malvo ('Beltway snipers').

Another Christopher Speight, Appomattox shootings.

Another Jeff Weise, Red Lake, Minnesota.

Another Jiverly Wong, Binghamtom, New York.

Another Patrick 'Going Postal' Sherrill, Edmond, Oklahoma

The only difference is fewer people were k!lled this time, yesterday, but two of them were special, members of the 'establishment elites'.

Will the NRA finally be shown the door, expelled from the legislative process, and automatic weapons banned?

Can public schools across the nation now expect monies to be reinstated for counseling and mental health screening and treatment?

How about reinstating public facilities for the emotionally disturbed; money for mental health hospitals?

How about that public option for healthcare, and expanded coverage for mental health treatment?

Is the FCC now going to bring back the Fairness Doctrine and regulate hate radio?

Why don't you do the responsible thing, Senator, and call upon those in Congress to respond to this call for action, and return the nation to some sanity (instead of members of Congress talking about cutting off the public's access to speak to their elected representatives)?
