Eric Cantor Opposes Compromise On Extending Bush Tax Cuts, Says Government Shutdown Will Be Obama's Fault

Let the Bush tax cuts expire. Then the Democratic­ally-contr­olled Senate can initiate progressive tax cuts (cuts in payroll taxes, taxes on the middle class, etc.), and let Republicans vote that down and run on it in 2012.



Obama's choosing to work with Republicans in any way is a betrayal of what he was put in office to do.
