Any REAL Democratic president entering office when Obama did would have used the crises left by the Bush-Cheney administration as an opportunity to repair the damage of 30 years of Republican abuses. Reregulate, nationalize, fair markets instead of free markets. Instead, Obama made unilateral decisions that really weren't his to make. The best example of this I can give you is what he did with healthcare, keeping a for-profit system with the insurance industry as the gatekeeper, and employer-based.



Obama ran on a platform of transparency and citizen-in­volvement. Then he went behind closed doors, shut out citizens and specific groups representing patients and the healthcare deliverers (physicians & nurses), cut secret deals BEHIND THE PEOPLE'S REPRESENTATIVES IN CONGRESS (undermining the Congressional committees writing the legislation, the same committees he made a big deal about being the ones responsible for the legislation and why he "wasn't getting involved").



Obama l!ed. This was a stunning breach of trust. And it wasn't his first betrayal or last.
