Gulf Oil Spill: Scientists Beg For A Chance To Take Basic Measurements

Wednesday, July 7, 2010

Nobody knew how bad this was going to be.

================================

That's not true at all.

The White House had the live feed from the first day and knew that the amount of oil gushing exceeded what BP was stating. The White House also knew that the sea floor had probably been compromised, and that oil was coming from more than one source.

You can't get to where you want to go ("We have got to get out of finger-pointing mode and solve this thing") until you face the fact that it's Obama who is calling the shots, preventing journalists from covering this, letting BP use a toxic dispersant banned in the UK to make the problem even worse.

Your comment, that "we can point like crazy later", is just more of the Obama "look forward, not back" excuse for not going after Bush and Cheney. You can't look forward until you look back and identify where the problems began and what needs changing.

It's obvious to many that Obama is a continuation of Bush, and "look forward, not back" is for trying to obscure that fact. You might want to look at this: Obama, More Conservative Than Reagan? - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3096434/#VpFlash
