And here's the real scandal: Not only did Obama never have any intention of getting affordable, quality medical treatment for everyone, how he and the healthcare lobby set out to accomplish their real goal (mandating high priced junk insurance for everyone) should show you just how corrupt they all are.
Because if getting affordable, quality medical treatment for everyone is your goal, you do not take single payer off the table. Single payer is the most effective and economical way to accomplish universal healthcare. Yet it had to be gone at the start, before negotiations ever began, in order to make sure there would be no public option (and by extension, no real cost controls).
