I looked at your articles, and I am particluarly taken with the title of the last one: "Firing or Ignoring the Parliamentarian – It’s Called Leadership". So you are in favor of ignoring the rules the Senate has agreed to operate under, firing the guy charged with enforcing them if necessary, and backing politicians driven by "will" over "rule of law". If Republicans tried this sort of thing you'd be calling them all sorts of names, and you'd probably be right. You'd be pretty horrified with the sort of person who still supports them too.

=========================

The Senate majority leader firing the parliamentarian over the parliamentarian's call has happened several times in the past 30 years.  By both parties.  Most recently in 2001, with a Republican majority leader (Trent Lott) doing the firing.

When "the rules" that Congress operates under include being able to fire the parliamentarian, firing the parliamentarian is "operating under the rules".   Republicans and Democrats have no problem playing hardball when it's something that they want.  Single payer, a public option, is not what either party wants.
