No, I'm NOT in favor of gutting Social Security; I'm trying to explain how the DLC-controlled Democrats are in cahoots with Republicans and want to end programs like Social Security and Medicare, despite their rhetoric that they're trying to "save it for future generations".
Bernie Sanders and progressives talk a good game, but when push comes to shove, they overwhelmingly cave, "compromise", just as they all did during the healthcare debate. They pledged not to vote for any legislation that didn't include a public option and then did vote for public option-free legislation.
We need to take a page from the Tea Party's playbook if we want to be successful. That means the place you start is by getting REAL progressives into office.
