Of course we were lied into it.
This was just supposed to be, 1) a matter of days, over long before Obama would have to comply with the War Powers Resolution, 2) Obama has said the purpose of the mission was to establish a no-fly zone only in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Libya, and 3) coalition partners including NATO allies and Arab states would take over the no-fly zone that was established over Libya within a couple of days.
NATO is the United States. The Supreme Allied Commander is American, and always has been. Just like the UN, there's nothing that either institution does that isn't directed by the US.
I really wonder about people who post here, whether they're political operatives trying to disseminate disinformation or if they're really just incredibly stupid and aren't able to see when the same BS is pushed on them by politicians over and over again. What Obama did isn't really any different than what BushCheney did to get us into Iraq. Anyone who didn't know at the time why Bush was rushing to get us into Iraq (because once in, it's d@mned near impossible to get out) really has no business trying to shape others' opinions.
