How do you figure that the context of what Charlie Wilson said should embarrass me? It's not a matter of misquoting or misunderstanding the context. In any context, the statement's meaning is the same. In fact though, the FULL context only reinforces the unh0Iy alliance, the conflicts of interest, that exist between corporations and government. When Charlie Wilson made the comment, he was trying to be able to keep the millions in GM stock he had, should the Senate confirm him as Secretary of Defense.
It turns out that the concerns of mixing corporate and government, interchanging heads of corporations into positions as heads of state, were well-founded, given Wilson's performance as SoD.
