Dick Cheney's NBC Interview: Addresses Obama, Palin 'Target Map,' Arizona Shootings, And More

Monday, January 17, 2011

JAMIE GANGEL:  You said that you thought that President Obama was going to be a one term President. Do you still?

DICK CHENEY:  I do, because I think he embarked upon a course of action when he became President that did not have as much support as he thought it did. That once he got into the business, for example, of the healthcare reform....

This is a fantastic example of post-Lee Atwater modern politicians' Frank Luntzian word games and revisionist history.

Had Obama done healthcare reform as Democratic voters wanted and expected he would (single payer, a public option, etc.) and not as a corporate welfare program, a massive giveaway to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries that does NOT provide affordable quality medical treatment to everybody (and led the Democratically-controlled Congress to implement new FDR-like New Deal programs to save America's middle class and restore what's been stolen from the poor and middle classes by Republicans and the DLC for the past 30 years), Obama could have gotten the 22nd amendment to the Constitution repealed, and served in the Oval Office until Sasha or Malia were old enough to become the nation's first female presidents.

Obama may be a two-term president, but it will only be because of voters'  i g n o r a n c e  and  f e a r   and failure to get rid of the tag-teaming relay gamers (both political parties) which work in concert with each other to guarantee the corporate control of the US government.
