For those who aren't familiar with Chris Hedges, he's one of the most interestin­g, thoughtful­, intelligen­t (in addition to being well educated), complex journalist­s in our history.  'War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning' (which should be required reading in every high school, before any young American is of age to join the military or vote) is but one of several of Hedges's books.
