Stewart Takes On Media's Insistence That Obama 'Doesn't Get It' (VIDEO)

Saturday, November 6, 2010

Jon Stewart is a COMEDIAN. No clue who you are to say he shouldn't have taken the meeting.

==============================================

When, as it's been reported, more Americans get their news from The Daily Show than any other place, Jon Stewart is not merely a comedian, but a premiere political influence on Americans, particularly Obama's 'most ardent supporters', whether Stewart (or you) cares to admit it.

But that's only one concern about Geithner's and Stewart's meeting. What's been getting less attention is the fact that Jon Stewart's brother, the COO of the NY Stock Exchange and who keeps a low profile, shunning the spotlight, had just 3 days before meeting with Geithner, attracted the public's eye at an economic summit (the Reuters Global Exchanges and Trading Summit -- Wealth Managers Cautious On Municipal Debt):

This raises the issue that Geithner used Stewart as a backdoor-channel to get to Stewart's brother, the COO of the New York Stock Exchange, to avoid disclosure.

Like all other problems with the Obama administration, it keeps coming back to the promise of transparency by this administration and Obama's failure to deliver.
