Obama Holds Debt Ceiling Press Conference (VIDEO)

Commenters here aren't realizing what Obama's position is.

He's put Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid up on the chopping block, along with other programs vital to the poor and middle classes.  Republican­s want even more programs up for cutting and are refusing to rescind the Bush Obama tax cuts.  

Praising Obama is supporting the cutting of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other people's programs.

Tell Obama you want him to invoke the 14th Amendment solution (raising the debt ceiling on his own), and leave the rest of this (what to cut, programs and tax breaks) to the election.  A vote for Democrats is a vote to rescind Bush's tax cuts for the rich, etc., and a vote for Republican­s is a vote to keep the tax cuts for the rich.

Because unless that happens, progressiv­es and liberals, the base of the Democratic Party and Independen­ts are voting third party or staying home in 2012.
