Obama Oil Spill Press Conference: Government In Charge Of Oil Disaster Response

From today's press conference -



"And that's why, when I went to the Republican caucus just this week, I said to them, let's work together. You've got Lieberman and Kerry -- who previously were working with Lindsey Graham, even though Lindsey's not on the bill right now -- coming up with a framework that has the potential to get bipartisan support and says, yes, we're going to still need oil production"



The Obama-Kerry-Lieberman-Graham energy bill is heavy on dirty sources of power -- coal, nuclear, oil. It's BIG on nuclear and the same arguments for offshore drilling, that it could be done safely with no chance for accidents, are made for nuclear and it's a l!e.



The fact is that there is a nuclear event-accident almost daily somewhere around the world.



The line Obama uses, that he's committed more money to green renewable energy than any other previous administration, is no big deal, considering that previous presidents' committments have been $0.



Obama's committed $80 billion to green renewable energy, and that's nothing. It's not even going to lay a grid, an infrastructure. It's nothing for future administrations to build on.



Wind, solar, hydro and conservation is the solution and it can serve all of our energy needs.



Now if we only had political leaders with the will and the integrity to make it happen. That will only come when the People cast these current corrupt politicians out.
