Obama Oil Spill Press Conference: Government In Charge Of Oil Disaster Response

I am an old liberal Democrat, and it's Democrats like you who are polluting the discussion, with your ig.no.rance of the laws governing this disaster, how the federal government is required to respond & how the state government is prohibited from responding by law, and precisely what it is that Jindal is talking about.



It's about how Jindal's hands, as an officer of the state, are tied by the feds, and how the feds are then NOT doing what only the feds can do by the law.



Jindal, according to Obama, made the request of the feds PER LAW, for the creation of the berms to protect the barrier islands and Obama "studied the matter and denied the request".



Republicans are for states' rights, and there is nothing that Republican Governor Bobby Jindal is saying that contradicts the Republican position.



There is plenty to go after Republicans for, but comments like yours are a distraction from the fact that we have a national crisis occurring and a Democratic president who might as well be a Republican given priorities and his inept handling of this catastrophe.
