Government Shutdown Looms Large As Deal Talks Intensify

The fact is that the success in fund raising by the Republican­s have dragged the Democrats to the right. However, that fact doesn't mean that the Democrats haven't legislated in the interest of the lower and middle class, as their voting record shows.

Like the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2003 which many Democrats serving in Congress today signed on to, including Dianne Feinstein and Joe Biden), which was written to prevent average people from declaring bankruptcy but to make it easier for businesses to do it?

Bankruptcy isn't an option open to most Americans so that Americans are left with the choice of paying their credit card bills (for living expenses, like food) instead of their mortgages -- Once foreclosed on, they can always live in their cars or on the street, but they still have to eat. Democrats helped Republican­s "reform" the system to let banks rob and steal from the People.
