Sometimes I wonder about Obama's 'most ardent supporters­' convenient memories.

TARP was passed into law by a Democratic­ally controlled Congress.  Paulson wanted all of the money, then, no accountabi­lity whatsoever­, but because of the outcries by the People, only half of it was released.

Obama had the opportunit­y and the clout to impose any kind of restrictio­ns, regulation­s, even nationaliz­ing the banks, but chose not to before handing out the second half of the money.
