Actually not everyone agreed.  

There were those of us who objected, vociferous­ly, to Bush's worldwide "war on terr0r", and tried to get a word in edgewise about dealing with nlne-eIeve­n as a criminal matter.  

Trillions of dollars later, a destroyed US with Americans no safer from terr0rlst attacks than before, it seems we were right.
