The "planet's agencies" got their intelligen­ce from us.  The US intelligen­ce agencies.  Talk about an 'echo chamber'.

Just like C/heney, who would leak false intel to Judith Miller through Scooter Libbey, then the NYT would publish Miller's scoop ("anonymou­s sources in the administra­tion"), and then C/heney would appear on Meet The Press and point to Miller's article in the NYT as proof that there was intelligen­ce that Saddam Hussein had WMD.
