Do you know all of this need for haste, speed, "gotta get it done before the Bush tax cuts expire, because the middle class's taxes will increase!"­?

FYI - Come December 31st, the middle class tax cuts don't have to abruptly end.  

Obama can direct the IRS to extend the middle class tax cuts if he so chooses.

There's no hard and fast cut off on that.

"You really should educate yourself before making statements like this.  Laurence O'donnell did a piece about how if this didn't get done by last week that the cuts would not be implemente­d by the time employees received their first paychecks.  But I guess in your world the president can waive his wand and poof, things get done."
