John Cornyn Warns Lisa Murkowski She Could Lose Leadership Role If She Stays In Senate Race

This is no different than when Joe Lieberman ran as an Independent in 2006.  Democratic Senators and the Democratic machine publicly supported Lieberman while working behind-the-scenes to help him raise money to beat out the Democratic candidate, Ned Lamont, and Republican Alan Schlesinger.
