Gulf Oil Spill: Salazar Threatens To 'Push' Out BP, But Offers No Terms Or Deadlines

And, the only reason to use dispersant is for covering up the real extent of this disaster. To sink the oil, try to keep it off the coasts because if the People actually see it, that will be the end of offshore drilling. The dispersant is toxic; even Great Britain has banned its use. When the outcry got loud enough, Obama's EPA told BP to find another, less toxic dispersant. Not "don't use any", but "find another". BP said, "Stuff it". What's Obama's response? He's "running out of patience" - I predict he'll have run out of patience about the time that well runs out of oil.
If Louisiana's industries are 1) oil, gas, chemicals, and 2) fishing and tourism, and fishing and tourism is destroyed, they're going to have to increase offshore drilling to make up the state's lost revenues.
I'm not saying BP is intentionally not plugging the well, but an argument can be made that they would have a motive.
