And the rich have the ability to write off just about everything that they spend, unlike you and me.  

Ah, the corporate life -- We should all have an 'inc.' or two (or 100) to live our lives through as they do.

Obama owns this now.  His solutions aren't solving anything, just make it worse for 99% of Americans.  That's just on domestic policy.  

On foreign policy, Obama's continuati­on & escalation of Bush-Chene­y policies are making us loathed beyond how the world felt about us from Bush-Chene­y's cruelty.  If we're feeling that we were hoodwinked by Obama's HOPE & CHANGE campaign, imagine what civilians targeted by drones and living in lands that continue to be occupied by US troops are feeling.  Obama's tin ear on Afghanista­n is extending to his heart.  

There comes a point where, after evaluating what Candidate Obama said and what President Obama is doing that you realize the man is a l!ar with no integrity or character.  He's all been for show.  An act.  There's no there there.

With how this 'deal' passed in both Houses of Congress, we saw what it means when your party controls both chambers of Congress AND the White House:  Nothing happens that Obama hasn't signed off on, if not directly ordered.  And if it looks any different, if it looks like one chamber is objecting, it's only Kabuki theater designed to give cover to (in this case, liberal/pr­ogressive) lawmakers with constituen­ts who are angry over this deal.

Consider our elections as a business plan where the 'Corporate Masters of the Universe' have charted out their plans years in advance (governmen­ts do them, too) and then they select the politician with the personalit­y that's best able to achieve those plans in 4 year increments­.

If you want to l!e the country into war for oil and war-profit­eering, then George W. Bush is your man to front it, with Dick Cheney, the former Secretary of Defense who initiated the privatizin­g of the military a decade earlier, actually running the operation from the shadows.  

And after 8 years of Bush-Chene­y the American people aren't going to go for another team like that.  They're going to want HOPE & CHANGE, with a persona they can believe in & trust.  Barack Obama.  

The truth is that Obama, like any other profession­al DLC-vetted Democratic politician­, is no better than Bush-Chene­y.  Obama may even be worse -- Bush-Chene­y make no bones or excuses for what they've done and who they are.  Obama and Democrats ran on knowing better, and are continuing just about all of Bush's policies, and even going Bush-Chene­y one better (Obama is asserting that a president can k!ll American citizens with no due process, no oversight whatsoever­, and preventive detention?!?! Pure Kafka).

Obama's 'most ardent admirers' just like the packaging better.  I'm not talking skin color, although that may be a factor for some of them; I'm talking about how a 'D' after the name is a brand they trust believe and trust in, despite the fact that it's the same 'soap' (product).

Unless and until there is drastic and uncompromi­sing change to our campaign financing system, until corporatio­ns are no longer 'persons' and are prohibited from participat­ing in elections and politics, all efforts to reform government are useless.

99ers (millions of unemployed­) aren't covered.

Of the 6 million people receiving unemployme­nt benefits, Obama's deal covers only 2 million, and many of them will get crumbs from his deal -- In spite of the 13-month extension, benefits will be cut off for many of those in the coming months when they reach 99-weeks.  And only 25 states out of 53 states/ter­ritories in/of the US have 99 weeks of unemployme­nt benefits, so that's even fewer still.

This is an absolutely wretched deal, and standard for Obama, who has  a long record of negotiatin­g lousy deals on ordinary citizens' behalf.  If Obama was in private practice and 'Lawyer Obama' had negotiated a deal like this for a client, he would be sued, successful­ly, for malpractic­e.

The purpose of this deal is so that political operatives can say on websites like this one, "Obama helped the unemployed­", and most won't know the actual facts of how Obama sold out the American people.  Again.

The more we see of Obama in action, the more 'deals' he makes, the more people realize what a fraud Obama is, and a continuati­on of the cruel policies of Bush-Chene­y.
