Democrats Look To Punt On Tax Cut Debate
====================================

Now that's a misleading HP headline.

Punt, HP?

The tax cuts legislation was never intended to be permanent, and were set to expire at the end of this year.

Not putting up legislation to continue them isn't 'punting'.

Dear Angry American, Joining the Tea Party Is NOT Your Only Option

Your way has led to the corporate takeover of our government.

Your way continues the corporate takeover of our government.

We are obviously not on the same side; you are not for or about liberal Democratic policies or governing.

I can't help that you refuse to see these facts.  I can, however, help others to see that and diffuse any effect you might have on their thinking.

By the way, if you're looking for "uniters", not "dividers", you're a Bushie.

Obama To Tea Party: 'Identify, Specifically, What Would You Do?'

There really are no 'new ideas'.

There are hundreds of thousands of people working in politics and policies on all sides of the issues.  Everybody in the game knows the ideas and plans on any given subject that is their expertise.

And you know what the ideas are, too.  What "new ideas" do Republicans have that they're angry at Democrats and Obama and say Democrats & Obama "aren't listening"?  If Republicans had any "new", "revolutionary" ideas, they'd be announcing them in public to get Americans to pressure Obama and Democrats into adopting them.  Republicans are offering the same old ideas and solutions that they lost the 2008 election over.

That's what election are for:  Putting your ideas and plans up for a vote, and Democrats won.

The people rejected the Republicans way of doing things and Republicans' policies.

Obama knows this.  He knows what he and Democrats were put into the majority to do.  The problem is that he and Democrats have been playing Democratic voters for f00Is, using very carefully crafted rhetoric, all focus-group tested, to trick supporters into believing that Obama and Democrats are for what their supporters are for.

Obama and the DLC-controlled Democratic Party are not.

They are DINOs.  Democrats-In-Name-Only.

Obama To Tea Party: 'Identify, Specifically, What Would You Do?'

In a certain way, you're correct.

Obama has watered down Democratic legislation, conceding ground on the left that really wasn't his to concede.  He did it, he's claimed, to get Republicans' votes, but it hasn't worked.  Instead of withdrawing the legislation and putting the 'real thing' through by way of reconciliation, he gets Republican-like legislation passed, to the pleasure or satisfaction of his corporate masters.  They are who he and Democrats have always intended to please anyway.  What Obama and Democrats have needed, though, is cover with Democratic voters, and so far 'being inept' is something that Obama's most ardent supporters accept and forgive.

Ted Kennedy Jr. Demands Linda McMahon Pull JFK Ads

"Blasted" is not demanding or asking or engaging in an attempt to get a dynamic dialogue going before the American people.

If Obama & the DLC (the group inside the the Democratic Party which Clinton co-founded with Joe Lieberman and Al From, & that controls the Democratic Party) were sincere about 'bipartisan cooperation', there are specific ways, steps in communications, that they would be adopting to foster a cooperative relationship.  At the very least, if they really wanted Republican 'obstructionism' to end and were at their wits' end, they would be using situations like the Whitman ads as an opportunity to teach the American people how to resolve conflicts with 'difficult people'.  If for no other reason than to score points by being the bigger one, and giving the American people a bird's eye view of the problems that Democrats are alleging to have in dealing with Republicans.

If DLC Democrats really wanted to work with Republicans, if they really wanted anything but exactly the results they're getting (only pro-corporate legislation getting through and the political gamesmanship of getting to blame Republicans for obstruction so that individual DLC Democratic politicians remain in office), Bill Clinton would have done what Ted Kennedy, Jr., did.

Most, if not all, politicians know this, if for no other reason than most are lawyers trained and experienced in contracts.  In business relationships, there is no possibility of doing any kind of business with people who you don't trust, don't like, issue ultimatums to, and generally treat like chit.
